Certified translations for Czech by authorised permanent court interpreters — for business, work and education in Czechia.

what we certify

Documents we most often certify.

For the Czech pair, the documents most often certified are business and educational documents and documentation for employment. The full certification procedure is described on the certified translations page.

Birth and marriage certificates Diplomas and certificates Employment documentation Certificate of no criminal record Contracts and powers of attorney Business documentation
area and recognition

Czechia and the European Union.

Certified translations are accepted before Czech authorities in business, employment and educational procedures. We do not obtain Apostilles and do not determine the order of certifications; please check what is required, and in what order, with the institution receiving the document.

apostille and legalisation

When your Czech paperwork needs an Apostille.

An Apostille is a certificate that confirms the origin of a public document: the signature and the capacity of the official who issued it.

Both Croatia and Czechia apply the Hague Convention, so a single Apostille replaces the longer chain of diplomatic legalisation. Whether you need one at all depends entirely on the institution receiving your file.

Order matters. If the Apostille is obtained after the certified translation, its text remains untranslated and some offices will send the file back.

We therefore recommend asking the Czech authority, employer or university what it expects, obtaining the Apostille on the original first where required, and only then having the court interpreter certify the translation.

Frequently asked questions

Have any questions?

Certified translations between Croatian and Czech are produced by permanent court interpreters appointed by the Croatian Ministry of Justice. Bilingua arranges them through the court interpreters in its network. The finished translation is bound to the document and carries the interpreter's stamp and signature.
Often yes, but the receiving side decides. Czech employers and universities frequently ask for an Apostille on foreign public documents, while some accept a certified translation alone. Bilingua recommends confirming the requirement with the Czech institution before translation, because an Apostille is normally affixed to the original first and then translated together with the document.
Yes. A Czech certificate of no criminal record (výpis z rejstříku trestů) can be translated and certified for Croatian employers, courts and administrative bodies. Bilingua arranges the certified translation through a court interpreter for Czech appointed by the Croatian Ministry of Justice, and the translation is bound to your document with stamp and signature.
Yes. Send your enquiry and a legible scan of the document by e-mail or through the form on this page, we confirm the quote and deadline by e-mail, and the whole arrangement is handled remotely. A certified translation is a physical document with the seal and signature of the court interpreter for Czech, so you collect it in person or as agreed.
