Court interpreter for Finnish.
Certified translations for Finnish by authorised permanent court interpreters — for work, education and doing business in Finland.
Documents we most often certify.
For the Finnish pair, the documents most often certified are employment paperwork, diplomas and personal documents. The full certification procedure is described on the court interpreters page.
Finland and the Scandinavian market.
Certified translations are accepted by Finnish authorities and employers. For less common language pairs we arrange certification through authorised court interpreters, with an Apostille where required.
What to prepare before certification.
A clear scan or photograph of each document is enough for us to prepare a quote for a certified Finnish translation. Every stamp, signature and marginal note must be legible, because the court interpreter reproduces them in the translation as well.
Let us know as well how the receiving party in Finland expects the document to arrive: a digital copy can serve for review, while official submission normally calls for the bound paper version with the interpreter's original seal.
It also helps to mention what the document is for. Requirements set by Finnish employers, universities and registry offices are not identical, and knowing the destination lets us confirm whether a certified translation alone will do or whether the institution expects additional legalisation of the source document, something you can verify with the receiving office in advance.
