what we certify

The documents we most often certify.

Because of the shared border and the Hungarian minority, the documents most often certified are personal, business and educational records. The full certification procedure is described on the court interpreters page.

region and recognition

Hungary and cross-border business.

Certified translations are accepted before Hungarian authorities. As a neighbouring country and an EU member state, Hungary is a frequent language pair for everyday cross-border and business procedures.

how it works

From enquiry to a certified Hungarian translation.

Hungarian is one of the languages we cover through a network of permanent court interpreters, each appointed by the Croatian Ministry of Justice.

You send the document to Bilingua, we review it and agree the details with you, and the appointed interpreter for Hungarian prepares and certifies the translation with a seal, signature and binding.

For you nothing changes compared with our in-house languages: Bilingua remains the single point of contact from first enquiry to collection.

Companies, institutions and private clients handle their Hungarian paperwork through our office in exactly this way, whether the translation is meant for a Croatian court or for an authority on the other side of the border.

Frequently asked questions

Have any questions?

In Croatia, only permanent court interpreters for Hungarian, appointed by the Ministry of Justice, may certify translations into Hungarian. Bilingua arranges these through its network of appointed interpreters, and every certified Hungarian translation leaves the office sealed, signed and bound, ready for submission to courts and public authorities.
Hungarian documents submitted to Croatian courts, notaries or public bodies usually need a certified translation into Croatian by an appointed court interpreter. Bilingua handles this regularly for cross-border matters such as inheritance, company registration and civil-status records. If the Croatian institution also requires an Apostille on the Hungarian original, confirm that with the institution beforehand.
Email a legible scan or photo of the document, together with the name of the institution it is intended for. Bilingua reviews the document, prepares a quote and coordinates the certified Hungarian translation with an appointed permanent court interpreter, who certifies it with a seal, signature and binding. Work begins once you confirm the quote.
