scope and files

What needs the stamp and what does not.

Technical files are rarely certified cover to cover. In patent, certification and tender procedures the authority usually specifies which parts require an official translation: the claims, the certificate of conformity, the safety instructions.

The remaining volumes of specifications can be translated without certification, which keeps the certified set focused on what the procedure actually demands.

Send the documentation in whatever form you have it: PDF drawings, scanned certificates, editable specifications.

Units of measurement, designations of standards and type codes are carried over unchanged, and drawings are handled so that captions and legends remain traceable to the source. If a standard's official English title exists, the interpreter uses it.

Frequently asked questions

Have any questions?

Contracting authorities frequently require that key technical evidence, such as certificates of conformity, test reports and declarations, be submitted as certified translations bearing a court interpreter's stamp. The tender documentation states exactly which parts. Bilingua certifies technical tender documents in English and German in-house and brings in appointed court interpreters for other languages.
Yes. If the authority only needs specific sections, for example the safety instructions or the chapter cited in proceedings, you can submit those pages for certified translation and have the rest translated without certification, or not at all. Bilingua's court interpreters certify the submitted excerpt as such, clearly identifying which part of the source document it covers.
Everything stays traceable to the original: units of measurement and type designations are reproduced exactly, standards are cited with their official titles where these exist, and captions in drawings are translated so each label can be matched to the source. In a certified technical translation Bilingua applies consistent terminology across the whole set, which matters when specifications, certificates and reports are filed together.
